Identification Of Artifacts To Be Program At Shiloh

— March is Arkansas Archeology Month and an Artifact Identification Program will be held Saturday, March 6, at noon at the Shiloh Museum in Springdale.

Archeologists from the Arkansas Archeological Survey will be present to answer questions about prehistoric and historic artifacts brought in by the public. For information call 750-8165.

Another program during March will be a presentation, “You Always Wanted to Be an Archeologist”, March 17 at noon by Hester Davis, who has been State Archeologist for 32 years.

The final program for the month will be March 27 at 2 p.m. when James Cherry will discuss his new book about “Head Pots” which are a rare form of prehistoric Native American pottery found in northeast Arkansas.
