Patrick Hall Resigns From Gravette City Council

— Gravette City Council member Patrick Hall, who has represented Ward 2, resigned from that position in a letter to Mayor Bill Howard last Wednesday, March 3.

Hall wrote: “Although I will continue to reside in the City of Gravette, I have moved outside the boundary of Ward 2 and therefore must forfeit the associated Alderman position.”

Hall has served on the Council since January 1, 2009.

After declaring the position vacant to allow persons interested in filling the slot, the Council will then appoint a person for the remainder of the term which ends December 31 of this year.

Council Committee Will Meet Thursday

The Gravette City Council Committee of theWhole will meet Thursday, March 11, at 5:30 p.m. at the City Hall.

Items on the agenda besides monthly reports include discussion of amendments to Ordinance 08-06 which involves a fee for temporary turn on for landlords.

Discuss formation of a committee to research sewer upgrade.

Discuss independent contract for building inspection.

A monthly report from the Director for City Services on streets and utilities will also be given.
