Bever opens preschool

— Sharon Bever, an Arkansas licensed teacher, has opened Mrs. Bever’s Pre-K for children, ages 3 to 5.

After searching for a quality kindergarten readiness program for her own children, Bever decided to open a homebased center at 110 EastCrawford Avenue in Gentry, she said in a press release.

Bever earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from John Brown University. A northwest Arkansas native, she has lived in Gentry for 16 years and also operates Bever’s Ace Hardware with her husband Randy.

Mrs. Bever’s Pre-K is licensed by the Arkansas Department of Human Services to teach up to 10 children, the release states. She offers a structured curriculum, including morning calendar, 10 learning centers, a weekly newsletter for parents and a fenced-in play area and nutritious meals. Parttime, half-time or full-time schedules are available.

“Every child should be given an early start on success,” Bever said.

Bever invites anyone interested in enrolling children to stop by the school, call her at 957-1873 or email her at sgbever @ cox.net for more information.
