WESTVILLE, Okla. — Briana Pharr and Gerald “Tiny” Thurman, Jr., have announced their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Diane and Mike Chapman and Larry and Viola Pharr, all of Westville, Okla. She is a 1997 graduate of Westville High School and a 2001 graduate of the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture business and agriculture education. She is employed as an assistant agriculture teacher at Grove High School in Grove, Okla.

The prospective groom is the son of Gerald and Elaine Thurman of Colcord, Okla., and grandson of Lorene Thurman of West Siloam Springs, Okla. He is a 1998 graduate of Colcord High School and is employed at Benton County Sale Barn.

The wedding is set for 2 p.m., March 20, at the New Life Tabernacle in Siloam Springs. A reception will follow at the church.
