Brooke Wallace Signs Letter With Highland Kansas College

GRAVETTE — Brooke Wallace, a senior at Joplin High School, has signed a letter of intent to play softball for Highland (Kansas) Community College.

Wallace is the daughter of Joy Waghorn of Joplin and the granddaughter of Connie Engleman-Hurt and Max and Shirley Wallace of Gravette.

Wallace has a .313 batting average during her high school career. Coach Kirk Harryman said, “Brooke has an outstanding arm. But the thing I appreciated about her the most was that she was the ultimate team player.” She is interested in physical therapy as a career.
