Off The Cuff

Gravette residents can be proud of the Performing Arts Center at the high school. But did you know that Gravette at one time had an Opera House?

The building was a part of Gravette’s history for many years. We’ve been researching the history of the building and will share that information in the future.

We have not been able to find a picture of the building and are requesting if you have a picture of the two-story structure that you allow us to make a copy for the story and also one for the Historical Museum.

Call us, 787-5300, with any information you may have on that “house” and if you have a picture we will appreciate your bringing it by or e-mailing it to us at [email protected]. The photo will not be damaged and we will return it to you promptly

Now that spring seems to have arrived, it’s time to sharpen the lawn mower, fire up the tiller and dig a few worms for a fishing trip.

Spring really is a special season. . . . a season of rebirth and one of welcoming to a new season of positives.

Forget that we will have hot summer days in just a few weeks, take a deep breath of clean Ozark air and enjoy the positive promises that lie ahead.
