Jolly Good Times Club Members Enjoy Meeting In March

The March meeting of the Jolly Good Times Club was held Wednesday, the 24th, at the Billy V. Hall Senior Center with six members and one guest, Charlie Griffin, present.

President Jeanne Hubbard opened the meeting with the pledge of allegiance to the flag and led the singing of two songs, “When Irish Eyes Are Smiling” and “My Wild Irish Rose”. Her devotion was centered on a song.

Roll call was answered by six members and responses included quotes from prominent persons, jokes and a unique solution to a problem.

Secretary Betty Howard red the minutes of the February meeting andthey were approved as read. Mary Griffin gave the treasurer’s report.

New business featured an announcement about the book giveaway at Gravette High School. Members were asked to be looking for affordable projects the group might undertaken.

Eda Montag led the program, asking each member to tell some advice they might give others or a memory they might share from their personal background.

The meeting closed with the singing of the doxology and everyone enjoyed the potluck meal.

Chia Greer will give the program for the next meeting which will be held Wednesday, April 28.
