Wednesday, March 31, 2010

— Pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage were the evening meal for many in the Gentry area Thursday if they attended the annual Lions Club pancake supper held here.

More than 400 tickets were sold for the event, and cooks and servers kept busy as people continued to stream through the doors at the Gentry Middle and High School cafeteria.

Money raised through the event will be used by the clubto help provide eye exams and eye glasses to those who can’t afford them. Part of the money is also used to award scholarships to some graduating high school seniors.

This was the 37th year the club has held the event in Gentry.
