Mt. Pleasant News

Hello, Mt. Pleasant is back in the news. Sorry we have been very quiet this winter. I think this is the first year that we have had to cancel Sunday church for more than one Sunday.

Natasha and Chloe Duke were here from Texas visiting their grandparents, Vern and Gloria Laughlin. Gloria said that they visited the Tulsa Zoo one day and another day they checked out the Crystal Bridges walking trail in Bentonville. They all had a great time but the time went by too quickly.

Ethan McVay celebrated his birthday on Friday the26th. Happy fourth birthday, Ethan. He then spent Saturday night with me and the girls and we celebrated his birthday again on Sunday after church.

Alan and Linda Sanders and Darlene and Louise McVay spent the day in Branson, MO, on Tuesday. We stopped at Dick’s 5 & 10 which is quite a novelty store. We then visited the Toy Museum and afterward had a great lunch at Gilley’s Texas Steak House. We had a great time and the weather was perfect.

Have a blessed week and remember as we enter the Easter season why we celebrate Easter.
