DECATUR — The Decatur Barbecue and Bulldog Days celebrations will be held back-toback this year on August 6 and 7 and will officially be called the 57th Annual Decatur Barbecue Festival.
Details of the merger of the two Decatur activities were recently worked out with the Chamber of Commerce to hold the traditional events, parade, beauty pageant and country entertainment, on Friday, August 6.
The Parks and Recreation Committee will have a car show, hot air balloons, miniature train rides and other events on Saturday, August 7, as well as a church service on Sunday.
Arts and crafts vendors will be able to operate both days.
