Free Shredding This Saturday

— Residents of northwest Arkansas can have their confidential documents destroyed by Shred-it Arkansas while lending a hand to hunger relief.

The Identity Theft Prevention Community Shred Event, sponsored by Mike Russell & Associates and Metro Market Business Complex, will take place from 9 a.m. to noon this Saturday, May 22, at the complex at South Walton and 28th Street in Bentonville.

The event is free; however, participants are askedto donate one nonperishable food item or $1 per bag or box of paper to be shredded. Proceeds will benefit the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank, which serves residents of Benton, Carroll, Madison and Washington Counties.

Staples, paper clips and binder clips do not need to be removed from the paper.

Binders, cardboard, plastics, computer hard drives, disks and floppies will not be accepted by Shred-it.
