GRAVETTE — The Gravette 13-14 year old baseball team, which is sponsored by SportsWired in Gravette, has a good jump during the first part of the 20-game season.
The team plays in the Bentonville League and started the season with a 5-win, 1-loss, 1-tie record to tie for first place in the 14-team league. This does not include a game played Monday, May 17, but does include wins over four Bentonville teams and one from Rogers.
The team members areWyatt Banta, Derek Pruitt, Kyler Bunch, Wyatt Gibbons, Jacob Bookout, Hunter Grimes, Boston Daniels, Ryan Bouldoc, Micheal Olvera and Levi Franks. Coaches are Shane Pruitt, Ted Grimes and Dillon Pruitt.
All four pitchers have recorded a win in their column.
Admission to the games is free with the next game this Thursday, May 20, at 6 p.m. against the Bentonville Orioles.
