We sure got rain this weekend. There will probably be a lot of lawnmowers working this week. My lawn sure needs it.

Chris Wiley was the guest speaker at the Maysville Bible Church Sunday morning. His family sang a special which everyone enjoyed.

Billy and Violet Lovell attended the “Midsummer Night’s Dream” play at the Gravette High School Saturday evening. Their granddaughter, Christinia Lovell, was one of the characters.

Elda Singleton is improving at the rest home in Siloam Springs. She can feed herself now. Glad she is improving.

There was a big tree blown over in the cemetery this week and other wind damage has been reported over the area.

My visitors on Wednesday afternoon were my brother, Jim Vandiver of Broken Arrow, OK, nephew Ronnie Vandiver from South Carolina, niece Viola Chapman of Coweta, OK, my sister and husband, Jim and Marie Crawford of Decatur. We had a good visit and enjoyed the time together.

Sammie Sappington of Fayetteville spent one day this week with her grandparents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker.

Byron Warren came over one morning this week to check on me. He brought my paper in and checked to see if I needed anything. It’s nice to have them check on me.

Virginia (Tucker) Rowland of Bentonville visited me one morning this week. We had a good visit. I’m always glad when she comes by. If she is over this way she always stops by to see me.

Katie Martin and children Tyler and Katlynn came by to see me Friday evening. I always enjoy them.

Gary and Helen Chism came by Sunday afternoon to check on me. They come over every day and they have been taking me for my outpatient therapy but I finished it Friday.

Les and Jean Martindale, Jack and Sylvia Tucker went to Cotton-Eyed Joe’s at Noel to eat Saturday evening.

This Tuesday hopefully will be a busy day at the polls. I hope people get out and vote.
