Gravette’s population slipped by 44 persons during the decade from 1950 to 1960. Gravette’s current population was 850. Benton County population declined about 2,000 with the present population being 35,795.

Announcement was made that Rev. Bruce Long, Gospel Tabernacle pastor, was to be baccalaureate speaker. Rev. J. Hillman Byram, Methodist minister, would be commencement speaker.

Class valedictorian was Robert Virden; salutatorian was Jerry Miley.
