Ida Jean Bryant

Ida Jean Bryant, 85, of Highfill, died May 20, 2010, at her home.

She was born October 22, 1924, in Highfill, the daughter of Jesse O. Bryant and Cassie Monday Bryant. She was a lifetime resident of Highfill and was a farmer. She received her GED in 1980. She was a member of the Highfill Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, John V. “Jack” Bryant and Jesse “Olan” Bryant; and two sisters, Faye Bryant and Maye Bryant.

Funeral services were May 24 at the Highfill Methodist Church, with Russell Hall officiating. Burial followed at Highfill Cemetery in Highfill.

Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

Billy Junior Gibbs

Master Sgt. Billy Junior Gibbs, 80, of Siloam Springs died May 18, 2010, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab, Siloam Springs.

He was born Aug. 6, 1929, in Siloam Springs, the son of William Granville and Eunice Gibbs.

He graduated from Colcord High School in 1947 and then served in the U.S. Army from April 1951 until April 1972. He had a dairy farm in Colcord, Okla. He also worked for Franklin Electric until retiring in 1991. He was a Mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Melvin Gibbs, James Lloyd “Bobby” Gibbs, Wesley Brittain “Bunny” Gibbs and Charlie Ray Gibbs; and two sisters, Myrtle Marie McJunkin and Mattie Irene Welch.

Survivors include four sons, Morgan Lee Gibbs and wife Lorraine of Loveland, Ohio, David Michael Gibbs and wife Lorna of Tahlequah, Okla., Roy Dean Gibbs and wife Debra of Muskogee, Okla., Gerald RayGibbs of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one daughter, Beverly Lynn Gibbs-Doss and husband Ken of Proctor, Okla.; one sister, Alice Zahn of Alto, Texas; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were May 22 at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Tommy Duncan officiating. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.

Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

Edna Mae Kelsay

Edna Mae Gullick Kelsay, 66, of Gentry, died April 29, 2010, in Siloam Springs.

She was born Jan. 21, 1944, in Tulsa, Okla., to Vernon and Bessie Gullick.

Survivors include a daughter, Rebecka Climo and husband Alan of New Plymouth, New Zealand; a son, James Kelsay and wife Tyeanna of Colcord, Okla.; a sister, Jean Mason and husband Jim of Summers; four brothers, including Vernon Gullick and wife Sharon of Lincoln, John Gullick and wife Ruby and David Gullick, all of Summers; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m., May 29, at The Church, on U.S. 412, west of Siloam Springs.

Willie Mae Magness

Willie Mae Magness, 88, of Siloam Springs, died May 21, 2010 at Northwest Medical Center of Washington County.

She was born March 18, 1922, in Arkana, the daughter of William Quinby and Hattie Mae Horn Swearingen. She was a teacher for 27 years in the Baxter County Schools before her retirement. She served as president of the Arkansas Classroom Teachers’ Association.

Survivors include her husband Paul of SiloamSprings; one son, Paul E. Magness Jr and his wife Dawn of Mountain Home; one daughter, Donna Murphy and her husband Randy of Siloam Springs; one sister, Betty Byrd; four grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren

A private family service was held May 25 at First United Methodist Church in Siloam Springs with Randy Rowlan officiating. Family graveside services will be Wednesday, May 26, at 1 p.m., in Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home.

Dale C. McCown

Dale C. McCown, 47, of Springdale, died May 19, 2010, in Springdale.

He was born April 26, 1963, in Trenton, N.J., the son of Elmer Dale and Mildred Martin Mc-Cown. He was a licensed minister in the FGEA. He was a graduate of Rhema Bible College in Tulsa, Okla., and was owner and operator of Trinity Tree Service.

He is survived by his wife, Renee Sutherlan McCown, of the home; four daughters, Cameo McCown of Lake Station, Ind., Michaela McCown of Springdale, Chelsia McCown of Gentry, and Emily McCown of Gentry; one brother, Matthew McCown of Orlando, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were May 22 at Mercy and Grace Cathedral Church with the Carol Granderson, Joe Jordan and Ron G. Smith officiating. Burial followed in Bloomfield Cemetery, Gentry.

Arrangements were by Memorial Funeral Home, Springdale.

Jerald A. McGraw

Jerald A. McGraw, 73, of Bentonville, died May 16, 2010, in Bentonville.

He was born Nov. 28, 1936, in North English, Iowa, the son of Clarence and Dorothy Wiggins McGraw. He owned and operated Gold Tie Electronics and was known as “Mr. Sony Man.” He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Gentry and served in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Corneta McGraw, of the home; four sons, John E. Mc-Graw of Rogers, Jared E. McGraw of Bentonville, Todd McGraw and Troy McGraw; two daughters, Kris Heberer and Teresa Brandt, all of St. Louis, Mo.; his sister, Joyce Post of Seattle, Wash.; and several grandchildren.

Funeral services were May 20 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Gentry, with Glenn Hill officiating. Burial followed at Fairmount Cemetery near Springtown.

Arrangements were by Benton County Funeral Home, Rogers.

Memorial contributions may be made to the McGraw Family, in care of the funeral home.

Roberta Payton

Roberta Payton, 94, died May 19, 2010, in Lakewood, Colo.

She was born April 27, 1916, the daughter of John and Pearl Donaghe Clary. Before moving to Colorado, she was a resident of the Maysville area for most of her life. She was a member of Beacon Baptist Church in Gravette. She and her husband were dairy farmers for many years. She also had worked at the Gravette shelling plant and as a nurse aide at the Gravette Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lowell Payton; and eight siblings.

Survivors include her daughter Arlene and sonin-law David Boyle of Conifer, Colo.; two grandsons and their wives; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held May 24 at Maysville cemetery in Maysville.

Arrangements were by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Bentonville.
