Word was received of the death of Roberta Payton. Her burial was at the Maysville Cemetery on Monday, May 24, at 1:30 p.m. She grew up in Maysville and spent her life here until moving to Colorado a few years ago to be near her daughter. Sympathy is extended to the family.

Patti King of Lowell visited her parents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, on Friday of this week.

Jim Whisenant was the guest speaker at Maysville Bible Church Sunday morning. His son John was with him and he sang some specials for us. Beverly Maxwell and Jim also sang specials. They were all enjoyed by everyone.

Sylvia Tucker came after me and took me to Sunday School and church withher. The doctor gave me permission to drive but I’m just not really up to it yet. I do thank Sylvia for coming after me. She has helped me a lot during this bout.

Billy Lovell had a couple of granddaughters who stayed with him on Saturday. He said he enjoyed them very much. They were Jodina’s girls.

My grandson, Seth Tucker, is ready to graduate from Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, MO. He has accepted a position with Eagle Heights Baptist Church in Harrison, AR, as youth minister. They were getting moved this weekend. He is the son of Steve and Susan Tucker.

Maysville E. H. Club members, remember this week is club meeting at the community building. Mary Stewart will be hostess for the lunch. See you all there.
