Gravette Boys and Girls Club teams with Walmart to fight local hunger

GRAVETTE - The Gravette Boys and Girls Club is partnering with the Walmart “Fighting Hunger Together” project, according to Skeeter Daniels, of the firm’s Talent Development Team.

According to Chris Crose, B&G Club director, the club has secured drop-offsites for canned food items which will help provide food baskets for families.

The canned food drive will end Nov. 17. All donations will benefit families in the Gravette area. Dropoff sites in addition to the B&G Club include Dollar General, Austin Drug, Bank of Gravett, Teasley Drug and Arvest Bank.

Sponsorships are alsoavailable for $25, which will provide a family with a complete turkey meal. The sponsorships can be secured at the Boys and Girls Club.

The goal is to provide sponsorships for 20 families in the Gravette area. Baskets will be delivered on Nov. 19.
