The weather is fine fall weather. Fall is my favorite time of the year. The only thing I know is that winter is close.

Maysville 4-H Club was represented at the State Fair. Jessica Crawley received Supreme Grand Champion on her milking shorthorn cow. Jessica and Brittany Crawley each received first place in their age group entry of Dairy Frolic. Jessica received first place in flower arrangement and Brittany received fourth place.

Congratulations, girls, on a wonderful job.

Kate Stidham entered her two dairy goats at the State Fair. She received first and second, honorable mention in showmanship. Good job, Kate. I know you work hard at that.

My visitors this week were Gerald Tucker of Gentry and his sister, Sherry (Tucker) Abbott from Arizona, near Phoenix. I sure did enjoy their visit.

John Richardson, Kimberly Burrow and daughter Sari Grace from Raleigh, North Carolina, visited with Jim and Berti Ray and family last week. They had a bonfire, roasted weenies and marshmallows and had a pumpkin decorating contest. The winner was Kasey Burrow. We really enjoyed the time together.

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Douglas from California, Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Lovell from Rogers visited in the home of Billy and Violet Lovell one evening this week.

Orpha Wardlaw visited her sister in OklahomaCity last week. They had a cousin reunion, then visited other relatives that they had not been with for quite some time. She reported a good trip and visit and enjoyed being with all of them. Her three girls were all there.

Maysville E. H. Club has planned their Maysville community dinner on Nov. 20. This is our way of showing appreciation to all of you supporting us.
