Drama team to present 'Fools'

— The Gravette High School drama department will present the Neil Simon production “Fools” Saturday evening, Nov. 13, and Sunday afternoon, Nov. 14, at the Gravette High School Performing Arts Center.

Ian Galloway, drama instructor at GHS, said the cast stars SayerSmith with Ashley Brinkley, David Carnahan, Zac Heald, Michael Henderson, Molly Leemasters, Christina Lovell, Rachael Morris, Myra Wesley and Jordan White.

The production is under the direction of drama student Radiance Beltz.

Show times are at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, with the Sunday matinee set for 3:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students.Tickets are available at the door.

Calloway described “Fools” this way:

“Long ago ... a curse of stupidity was placed upon the village of Kulyenchikov, Ukraine. A young schoolmaster named Leon is hired to tutor the village doctor’s beautiful daughter. He falls in love with her but in order to win her hand in marriage, he must liberate Kulyenchikov from this unfortunate curse.”
