GRAVETTE — The Gravette High School Parent Teacher Organization would like to extend an invitation to the Mister and Miss Gravette High School Contest to be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21, in the GHS Performing Arts Center.
Contestants will be judged on interview, modeling and stage presence in formal and casual wear. Interviews will take place prior to the contest on Sunday afternoon.
A new highlight this year will be the addition of “Future Mister and Miss GHS.” During the formal dress competition, each contestant will be escorted by afuture Mister and Miss GHS made up of children from pre-kindergarten through first grade.
Additionally, the Lion’s Choice Award will be presented to the contestant who receives the highest number of audience and community votes. Votes for this special award are obtained through monetary sponsorship at $1 per vote.
“We encourage friends, family, citizens and business leaders of the area to participate in this worthwhile endeavor by supporting the contestant of your choice,” said GHS PTO Contest Coordinator Jennifer Meeker.
Proceeds will help sponsor the Misterand Miss GHS Contest and assist with scholarship awards.
There are five contestants vying for the title of Mister GHS, and thirteen contestants will be pursuing the crown of Miss GHS.
Crowns and sashes will be presented to the winner, as well as first and second runner-up in both divisions. Mister and Miss GHS will be awarded $250.00 scholarships to the accredited college or university of their choice. Runner-up contestants will receive bonus prize packages and all contestants will receive special participation prizes.
The Mister and Miss GHS Committeeexpressed their appreciation to all contest sponsors.
