Indian-White Man Thanksgiving Dinner to be held at Maysville

— MAYSVILLE - The annual Indian-White Man Thanksgiving Dinner will be held Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Maysville Community Building, according to Kay Roberts, who helps organize the event.

Activities will start at 9 a.m. with Native American gospel singing. There will be various demonstrations, among them Indian basket weaving, finger weaving, blow guns and Indian storytelling, Roberts said.

Turkey will be furnishedand persons attending are asked to bring a covered dish. The dinner will be held at noon. There is no admission; everything is free, she added.

Following the meal, demonstrations, entertainment and activities will continue until about 3 p.m.

In previous years the dinner has been held at the Gravette Civic Center and Roberts said it was well received by persons who attended. Everyone is welcome, she added.
