“National Read a Book Month is a great opportunity for the Senior Center to be involved in an intergenerational activity. This yearin conjunction with National Read a Book Month, the celebration took place in March and celebrated the birthday of Dr. Seuss with students from Margaret Martin’s class from Glenn Duffy Elementary School, reading Dr. Seuss books to the seniors. After reading, the students ate lunch with their senior partners and were presented with personalized Dr. Seuss certificates of achievement. The Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center thanks Mr. Zane Vanderpool, Principal, and Miss Margaret Martin, teacher at Glenn Duffy Elementary, for their annual participation,” Kelley said.
