I wish every one of you a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Word has been received here that Ellen Belts Nichols has been in the hospital in Colorado following a stroke.

Mary Dunfee passed away Tuesday at the nursing home in Anderson, Mo. She was proceeded in death by her husband Chief, daughter Vickie and son Johnny. She is survived by sons Terry and Billy and daughters Judy McClelland and Nancy Overtuff. She was buried at Mt. Pleasant on Saturday. Sympathy is extended to the family.

There was a community Thanksgiving gatheringat the Christian Church on Tuesday evening. I wish I had known about it in time to announce it beforehand.

Those having lunch with Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Mr. and Mrs., Brian Carrier and myself.

Several of our local hunters have success stories to tell this week.

The Bertschy Family had an early Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday at a Nazarene Church in Rogers. Peggy and Shirley got to cook turkey and dressing. A large crowd and enjoyable time was reported.
