GRAVETTE - The monthly meeting of the Jolly Good Times Club was held Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center, with three members and one guest, Charlie Griffin, present.

President Jeanne Hubbard led the pledge of allegianceto the flag and the singing of “Over The River and Through The Wood.” Her devotion was a reading from a John Brown University Thanksgiving event, a portion of the 95th Psalm.

Three persons answered roll call: Mary - statistics about Plymouth, Susan - an editorial, “We can Stumble or Think” and Jeanne - readings about “A Woman’s Life.”

In old business members agreed to keep the animal shelter project in mind, continuing to check for future needs.

In new business it was decided to change the date of the December meeting to Thursday, Dec. 16, to join in the Senior Center’s Christmas dinner. Mary Griffinwill give the program.

Susan gave the program, reading an article, “Thank You for All Those Little Things You Do,” and Abraham Lincoln’s 1863 Thanksgiving proclamation. Chia Greer arrived as members shared favorite Thanksgiving memories.

Eda and Harlan Montag joined the group for lunch.
