Sharp All-American Scholar

GRAVETTE - The United States Achievement Academy announced Russell Alexander Sharp, from Gravette, has been named an All-American Scholar.

The USAA has established the All-American Scholar Award Program to offer deserved recognition to superior students who excel in the academic disciplines. The All-American must earn a 3.8 or higher grade point average. Russell, who attends Gravette High School, was nominated for this honor by Mr.Harry Almond. Russell will appear in the All-American Scholar Yearbook which is published nationally. He completed additional paperwork and applications to qualify for various national scholarships.

The Academy selects All-Americans upon the exclusive recommendation of teachers, coaches, counselors and other qualified sponsors. Russell is the son of Roger and Janna Sharp of Gravette and the grandson of Diana Foley of Hartford, Ark., Roger Sharp of Huntington, Ark., Gerald and Joyce Liles of Bentonville.
