"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations." Psalm 100:4-5

We have every reason to take time to come into the house of the LORD and to offer up our thanksgiving and praise. We have every reason to bless His holy name.

Why? Because He has been good to us. Not only has He given us life itself, He has blessed us with food to eat, clothes to wear, homes in which to live, our families, our jobs, our schools and everything we need to live in this world.

But even more important than providing for our earthly needs, He has shown us mercy and provided a remedy for our greatest need by sending His only-begotten Son into this world to fulfill all righteousness for us and then to suffer and die and bear the just punishment for all our sins that we might be pardoned, forgiven, acceptable to God and have a place in His everlasting kingdom.

Indeed, God's mercy toward us in Jesus Christ is everlasting - it endures forever - and His truth remains for all generations. For Jesus' sake, God still reaches out to us today with open arms offering to us forgiveness for all our sins and a place in heaven.

"O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever" (Psalm 107:1).
