GHS juniors may take PSAT test on Oct. 13

— Juniors at Gravette High School will be given the opportunity to take the PSAT on Wednesday, October 13, at 8 a.m., Shannon Mitchell, GHS counselor, announced.

The PSAT measures verbal reasoning, critical reading, math problem-solving and writing skills. It is probably betterknown as the Preliminary SAT and can be used as an indicator of how a student will perform on the SAT. Also, the PSAT is the National Merit Scholarship qualifier test for Juniors.

“The fee for the test is $13. Seating is limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Students/parents can contact counselor Shannon Mitchell, at 479-787-4185,” she said.
