Sunday, September 26, was the annual Edgmon Family Reunion in Mossville, Ark. Those attending from our area were Bill and Susan Edgmon, Scott Edgmon, Phyllis Burnett, Wilma Fladager, Beverly Nelson and family, Darlene and Louise McVay, Jordan and Kaleb Burnett and Linda Sanders. There were approximately 200 in attendance this year. WE all had a great time in spite of the slight drizzle and chilly weather. The one good thing with the cooler weather was we got to see the elk down by Boxley.

Andy Hall, grandson of Butch and Gaylene Hall, spent the night with grandma and grandpa on Friday, then on Saturday they went to the wiener dog races in Bella Vista.

Sunday was a day of celebration for Gladys Gatton.

We at Mt. Pleasant set aside Sunday as a celebration of Gladys’ life. After morning services we served lunch. And what a lunch! At 2:00 we honored her with a drop-in of family and friends, all complete with a birthday cake. Evening services rounded out the day with a short devotional from Brother Marvin Loyd and an evening of singing, then fellowship with coffee and more birthday cake. We are so blessed to have Gladys in our lives at Mt. Pleasant and mine personally.Thank you, Gladys, for being you. God bless you.

Please keep Larry and Mary Holloway in your prayers. Larry was injured in a car versus motorcycle accident on Saturday, Oct. 2. He is at St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa, Okla. Surgery was expected on Tuesday.

Have a blessed week. Pray for one another and our country. God bless.
