Alice Goates

Alice Sue Goates, 67, of Gravette, died Oct. 2, 2010, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.

She was born April 18, 1943, in Ozark, to Melvin W. Stacy and Dorothey Bowman Stacy. She was a machine operator with Kennametal, Inc. She married Ulysses Goates on Dec. 8, 1961. She was a member of the Shepherd’s Chapel in Gravette.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ulysses and four brothers, Garry Stacy, Curtis Stacy, Jimmy Stacy and Robert Stacy.

Survivors include two daughters, Karen Stidham and husband Terry of Gravette, Tina Edwards and husband Keith of Decatur; four brothers, Ricky Stacy of Decatur, Darrell Stacy of Decatur, Randy Stacy of Fayetteville, Eric Stacy of Pea Ridge; two sisters, Linda Denny of Colcord, Okla., Janice Goates of Decatur; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were Oct. 4 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, near Gravette, with Rodney Gruver officiating. Burial followed. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Maxine Marler

Maxine Marler, 84, of Rogers, died Sept. 28, 2010, at Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale.

She was born May 6, 1926, in Crowell, Texas, to James Marvin and Dilla Cawthon Hendrix.

Survivors include a son, Steven R. Jones of Rogers; three daughters, Sandra L. Twiggs and husband George Dombek of Goshen, Sherry L. McNair of Siloam Springs, and Christa D. Matkins of Rogers; two brothers, James Hendrix and wife Emma Mae of Highfill, and J. Lee Hendrix of Siloam Springs; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services were Oct. 1 at Douglas Cemetery in Highfill. Arrangements were by Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.

Morris Pittman

Morris Lee Pittman, 85, of Siloam Springs, died Oct. 2, 2010 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.

He was born Jan. 12, 1925, in Siloam Springs, to Jesse Lee Pittman and Edna Mae Bowles Pittman. He married Joyce Webb in Gentry on Feb. 3, 1947. He was a World War II veteran and a member of the VFW in Siloam Springs. He was a charter member of the Siloam Springs Bible Church.

Survivors include his wife Joyce of the home; two daughters, Cia Smith of Siloam Springs, and Twyla Mann and husband Dale of Tulsa, Okla.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Oct. 5 at Harvard Avenue Baptist Church in Siloam Springs, with Larry Petton officiating.

Burial followed at Bell Cemetery, Watts, Okla. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Kelley “Bub” Rodgers

Kelley Lee “Bub” Rodgers, 59, of Gravette, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at his home in Gravette.

He was born Dec. 12, 1950, in Siloam Springs, to Ernest Lee Rodgers and Dott E. Kelley Rodgers. He attended Gravette schools and graduated in 1968. He served in the Arkansas National Guard from 1969 to 1971. He loved all sports and enjoyed fishing and watching his grandkids play ball.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by one daughter, Shanna Rodgers Patton and husband Brian of Easley, S.C.; one sister, Carol Easley and husband John of Hiwasse; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, with Ralph Walker officiating. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home in Bella Vista.

Cindy Kaye Clark Webb

Cindy Kaye Clark Webb, 48, of Gravette, died Sept. 27, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers.

She was born Nov. 7, 1961, to Gene and Ruthann Clark.

Survivors include a son, Zack Webb; and a daughter, Amanda Webb, both of Gravette.

Memorial services were Oct. 2 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, west of Centerton.

Cremation arrangements were by Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
