GRAVETTE — The monthly test of Gravette’s storm warning siren system, last Wednesday, revealed one of the city’s five sirens was not operating properly.

A special battery component was ordered and installed and the sirens were retested again on Thursday to assure the system is working, Mayor Bill Howard said.

The sirens are tested at noon the first Wednesday of each month, weather permitting.
