OCH receives $420K for rural hospitals

— Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH) in Gravette will benefit from a $420,000 Recovery Act fund to help 35 of Arkansas critical access and rural hospitals move from paperbased records to electronic health records.

OCH is one of the critical access hospitals which will receive assistance through the funds which went to the Arkansas Health Information TechnologyRegional Extension Center in Little Rock.

The funds will provide technical assistance and training to assist Arkansas rural hospitals in implementing electronic health records.

“With these funds we will be able to assist providers in areas where increasing technology can have an enormous effect on improving patient care,” said Ray Hanley, president and CEO of the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care.
