Gravette Kiwanis Club installs new officers

— Installation of officers for the Gravette Kiwanis Club was held at its annual banquet at the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center, the evening of September 30.

Outgoing club president Jim Singleton highlighted the work done by the club this year which resulted in the Gravette club being the only one in northwest Arkansas to be named a Distinguished Club by the International office, Singleton reported.

The outgoing president was presented a gavel as a gift of appreciation from the club.

Bryan Johnson was installed as president for the coming year. His wife, Addie, was presented a corsage.

Dan Yates of Gravette, Lt. Gov. for Mo/Ark District 19A, was the installing officer for the complete slate of new officerswho are pictured above.

The Senior Center staff, directed by Mary Kay Kelley, a Kiwanian, prepared the meal. Patrick Hall, another member of the club, provided musical entertainment.

Kiwanis is a service organization dedicated to changing communities “one child at a time”.

The group meets eachFriday at 7 a.m. at the Ozark Community Hospital cafeteria in Gravette. Anyone interested is invited to visit and/or join the group.
