GRAVETTE - Almost 100 persons attended the American Legion sponsored Mayoral forum held last Tuesday night at the Gravette Civic Center.

All four candidates, Mike von Ree, Ken Foxx, Byron Warren and Deana Deming, were introduced by J. R. Gibbs, American LegionAdjutant. Each gave a brief statement and during the forum each, in turn, answered pre-selected questions posed by Bob Kelley, who moderated the event.

There were no fireworks and no surprises. All four answered the questions positively in support of the town, how they would address problems and provide service and leadership.

Candidates were not allowed to respond to each other’s answers in a debate fashion and no questions from the audience were permitted.
