Mt. Pleasant will be having a garage/yard sale on Saturday, October 30, at the Bank of Gravett parking lot northeast of the bank. Hours of operation will be 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sunday, October 17, Howard and Cathleen Spears hosted a family lunch in honor of Joan Days’ 70th birthday. Those helping Joan celebrate were Bill Wilbur, Rick and Shelly Spear, David and Charlotte Spear, Betty and Brett Red, Wanda Trembly, Patricia and Stephanie Boling, Amanda Smith, Christi and Hollyann Phillips, Shirley Spears, Shawn, Mary Jo, Zack and Jimmy Duncan, Colton Carlton, Tammy Still, Matt and Heather Stanley and friend Danielle. Happy Birthday, Joan.

Butch and Gaylene Hall of Centerton had a pizza and birthday party on October 22 for their son and three grandchildren, Stacie, Andy and Hayden Hall. A great time was had by all.

On Thursday, October 21, Cathleen Spears, Wilma Fladager and Linda Sanders had a closet/ cabinet cleaning get-together at the church. A big thanks to Wilma and Cathleen for a job well done. A big thanks also goes to Betty Pollreis for our fall flower arrangements. They are really beautiful.

Saturday, October 30, will be our annual Fall Hayride and Weenie Roast at Mt. Pleasant. I hope the weather holds with no rain that day and just cool weather.

Saturday, October 23, I took my grandkids, Darlene, Louise and Ethan McVay, to the “Pumpkin Patch” in Pea Ridge. They had a great time picking pumpkins, playing on a haystack, going through a hay tunnel and, of course, the “Maze”. We didn’t get too lost this time.

Dennis McGarrah always does such a great job. I hope to continue this tradition with the grandkids for years to come. Well, at least as long as they will let me.

I hope everyone was thankful for the much needed rain we had the past few days. I know I am.

Have a blessed week. Stop by and see us at the yard sale and help support our mission at the Christmas season. God bless.
