— Girls’ volleyball teams picked up wins Monday in a matchup against Southwest City, Mo.

The varsity girls won three of the five games, with scores of 25-23, 19-25, 25-20, 17-25 and 15-13.

The junior varsity won their games 25-14 and 25-20, taking the match 2-0. Brittany Coffee led the team with two aces on serve.

“In the varsity game, we looked pretty sluggish throughout the game, but we still found a way to win, which I was pleasedwith," said coach Darin Ward. “To get a win like that without playing our best, and rallying from behind, I think that will give us some confidence for the conference season.”

“Our fans gave us a nice boost too,” Ward said. “We really appreciated them coming out.”

Rindy Hudson led the varsity team with four aces on serve. Metaya Snell made some key hustle plays down the stretch.

The Gentry teams played Prairie Grove at home after press deadline yesterday and will play an away game at Gravette on Thursday.
