Mt. Pleasant hosted a bowling party for the young and young at heart earlier this month. We all had a great time.
During Gravette Day festivities Mt. Pleasant set up a water booth. We gave out a lot of water and had a great time visiting with folks who stopped by.
Dorene Wills and Marlene Bush were here for Gravette Days, Marlene from Little Rock and Dorene from Jenks, OK. Dorene was here for her 52nd high school reunion. Both then attended church with us at Mt. Pleasant on Sunday. It is always good to see them and we hope to see them again soon.
Congratulations to Darlene McVay on her ribbons for her art work entries in the fair. Keep drawing and painting and send them in next year.
Mt. Pleasant held our annual ice cream social on Saturday the 21st. Wehad a great time and lots of good homemade ice cream. It’s too bad we do this only once a year.
Sunday night, the 29th, we hosted our regular fifth Sunday singing. What a blessing! The house was full and did we ever make the “rafters ring.”
We had a lot of great special music from the young ones to the not so young ones.

Cathleen Spears is home recuperating from back surgery. Cathleen, we sure do miss you at church and we pray for a speedy recovery. However, if you want to have Howard wait on you for a few days more . . . .
