I participated in the People to People Program in Washington D.C. from June 21 to June 26. There were 350 junior high students from around the world. My group and I got to tour many museums, monuments and the U.S. Capitol.

My favorite thing was meeting my new roommates, which I found out were fromOhio and Florida. I also liked going to the International Spy Museum. They had a lot of spy gadgets and I got to climb through air ducts!

The Holocaust Museum made a big impression on me too. I only got to see one section of it, but it was very moving. The Air and Space Museum was full of important history also. I liked to see Amelia Earhart's plane and Apollo II. My group and I got to put a wreath at the World War II Memorial.

My favorite place to eat was at the Saudi Arabian Embassy. The food was great and we got to see a movie about Saudi Arabia too.

I learned a lot in Washington D.C. but now I am glad to be back home in Gravette!
