Senior Center donates $114 to first grade classroom

— Margaret Martin and her first grade class at Glenn Duffy Elementary School in Gravette were presented a gift of $114.39 from residents at the Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center.

Mary Kay Kelley, Center Director, pre sented the gift to Ms. Martin to be used for classroom school supplies.

“The money was collected by seniors at the center as a thank you to Miss Martin for allowing her first grade class to read to them (the seniors) each year,” Kelley said. “We look forward to this year’s first grade class coming to read at the center sometime in May next year.”

The Billy V. Hall Senior Activity Center isone of seven centers operated by the Office of Human Concern, Inc. in partnership with the Area Agency on Aging of NW Arkansas and the United Way of NW Arkansas.

The center is a non-profit organization that relies on monetary donations from businesses and individuals to maintain their Meals on Wheels program and daily operations of the center.
