— We received a good rain and cooler temperature and the grass has really got green which is good. Hope we have nice fall weather.

J. D. and Sue Smith, Violet and Billy Lovell enjoyed a birthday supper at Jewel Lukens’ home on Wednesday evening. It was Sue’s birthday. Happy birthday, Sue.

Orpha Wardlaw enjoyed a family reunion over at Oklahoma City last week.

She went to her sister Jo Pettigrew’s home, then they attended the reunion over the weekend.

Patti King of Lowell visited her parents, Jack and Sylvia Tucker, one day last week.

Jim Whisenant of Gentry will be the guest speaker at Maysville Bible Church for a period of time. We extend a welcome to everyone if you don’t have a church.

My family reunion was held at the Maysville Community Building on Saturday. It was the Vandiver reunion. We had good attendance, lots of good food and visiting. There were 80 in attendance.

Gary and Helen Chism and grandson Billy Cook visited me on Sunday after noon.

Word was received Sunday of the death of Jerry Tucker in Lawrenceburg, Ind. He was the son of the late Chris and Ruby Tucker. He made the trip back in August for the Tucker reunion. He was having major health problems then. He leaves his wife, Jo Ellen, and four children, one sister and two brothers.
