MAYSVILLE NEWS

It’s beginning to seem like fall weather. I’m sure I’m not the only one waiting for cooler weather after our hot summer.

I returned on Tuesday afternoon after a trip with my brothers, Jim Vandiver of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Vernon Vandiver of Bentonville, and my sister, Frances Sims of Bentonville. We left on Thursday morning to go to Golden Valley, Arizona, to a cousin’s home. We met other cousins on Saturday to eat at Laughlin, Nevada.

There were cousins from Pomona, Victorville, Chino and Lancaster, California, that we did not know were going to be there. There were 15 of us. We had a great time, lots of talking, picture taking and eating.

It was a wonderful trip. I think I’m ready to go back.

Maybe not right now but later.

Orpha Wardlaw’s visitor this week was her cousin, Jean Catlett of Moore, Okla.

They had a good visit. They went to Joplin, Mo., on Saturday to see another cousin before Jean left to go home.

The cookout at the Maysville Bible Church on Saturday evening was a good success. There was good attendance, lots of good food and fellowship and good gospel singing. It was an enjoyable evening.

Sue Smith and Jewel Lukens went to Neosho, Mo., one day this week tosee Dorothy Boyd, Jewel’s sister.

Byron and Tracy Warren visited me one afternoon this week. I’m always glad to have them come over to visit.

I really need news. Call me at 787-5712 or mail to me, P. O. Box 1504, Gravette.
