— Edward Brown, Jr.

Edward Charles Brown, Jr., of Decatur, Ala., and formerly of Siloam Springs, died March 30, 2011, in Decatur, Ala.

He was born July 27, 1930, in Drumright, Okla., to Edward Charles, Sr., and Audrey Irene Sharp Brown. He retired from Peterson’s Industries and enjoyed horses and gardening.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie J. Brown; four sons, Rick Brown and wife Debra of West Siloam Springs, Okla., Dwaine Brown and wife Pam of Sulphur Springs, Robert Brown and wife Trish of Chantilly, Va., and Jeff Brown of Colcord, Okla.; two daughters, Marilyn Mickel and husband Gary of Siloam Springs, and Stephanie Fahringer and husband Glen of Prattville, Ala.; his mother; a sister; 18 grandchildren;and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held April 2 at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. Burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Eva Corey

Eva Marie Corey, 101, of Decatur, died April 4, 2011, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab, in Siloam Springs.

She was born Aug. 2, 1909, in Decatur, to Henry Perkins and Lena Collins Perkins. She moved to Colorado at an early age and returned to Arkansas upon retirement. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Decatur. She was a Sunday school teacher and active in the Women’s Missionary Union.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Jenkin James and L.A. Corey; and two brothers, Marcus Perkins and Leon Perkins.

Survivors include one step-son, Orlin Corey and wife Shirley of New Orleans, La.; two sisters, Margaret Cone of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Alberta Tohm of Calimesa, Calif.; and one step-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with John Terry officiating. Burial will follow at Decatur Cemetery in Decatur. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Geraldine Edmondson

Geraldine Faye “Dena” Edmondson, 76, of Kansas, Okla., died March27, 2011, at Quail Ridge Living Center in West Siloam Springs, Okla.

She was born Feb.

21, 1935, inCherokee City to Edward C. Kelley and Elizabeth Faye Davis Kelley. She was a longtime resident of the Cherokee City area of Gentry and lived eleven years in Kansas and Rose, Okla. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She married R.D. “Bud” Edmondson on April 4, 1952, in Gentry.

Survivors include her husband, Bud Edmondson, of Kansas; three sons, Darrell Edmondson and Arawanah, and Gerald Edmondson andVicki, all of Gentry, and Dennis Edmondson of Gravette; one daughter, Brenda Sullivan of Kansas; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Jana Kelley of San Diego, Calif.

Memorial services were April 1 at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Larry Ellis officiating. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. Eugene Michaud

Eugene Raymond Michaud, 87, of Hiwasse, died Sunday, March 27, 2011, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville.

He was born on Dec. 9, 1923, in Syracuse, N.Y., to Lorenzo Michaud and Marie Desrochej Michaud. He was raised and educated in New York. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He married Jeannie Peterson on May 14, 1971, in Hawaii. He was a cabinet maker and owned and operated “Cabinets By Gene” and made cabinets for Habitat for Humanity. He was a member of the Rogers and Bentonville Elks Lodge.

He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, of Hiwasse; four sons, Rodney Mimms of Hiwasse, Paul Michaud and wife, Sandy, of Phoenix, Ariz., Carl Michaud of Tennessee, Peter Michaud and wife, Jene, of Hilo, Hawaii; one daughter, Laurie Michaud of Hawaii; three brothers, Joe Michaud of New York, Chuck Michaud of New York, Paul Michaud of Oregon; two sisters, BettyWhite, Toni McNaughton; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel in Bella Vista, with Elks Lodge #2144 presiding. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home in Bella Vista.

Sharon West

Sharon Jeanette West, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, March 30, 2011.

She was born July 4, 1942, in Gravette, to Marion Reuben and Maxine Duncan Roberts. She attended Gravette public schools and completed one year of business college in Joplin, Mo. She married Al West on May 19, 1962, in San Juan Capistrano, Calif. She was the office manager for Bargo Engineering in Fayetteville for 29 years. She was also active in various ministriesof Women in the Church of the Presbyterian Church of America (PCA) and served as president.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Survivors include her husband; her father; two brothers, Nelson Roberts and Bo Roberts of Gravette; two daughters, Shari R. Hawley and her husband Martin of Woodstock, Ga., and Mindy Hart and her husband Robert of Fayetteville; two grandchildren.

The funeral service was April 3 at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville. Committal Service was April 4 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Gravette. Arrangements were by Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale.

Edna Ella Jordon

Edna Ella Jordon, 89, of Gravette, died April 2, 2011, at the Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.

She was born in Roland, Okla., on June 25, 1921, to John A. and Lily Mae De-Witt Cooper. She moved to McDonald County, Mo., as a small child and moved to Bentonville in 1967. She wasa member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. She married William Henry Jordon on Feb. 4, 1944, in Bentonville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Sterling Cooper; her husband of 51 years; and two great-grandchildren, Alyssa Gann-Laughlin and Jordan Laughlin.

She is survived by twobrothers, Bill Cooper and wife Doris of Grove, Okla., and Marion Cooper and wife Joyce of Powell, Mo.; one sister, Opal Blevins-Hurd of Goodman, Mo.; one daughter, Gloria and husband Vern Laughlin of Gravette; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount PleasantBaptist Church near Hiwasse, with Ernest Lastovica officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Arrangements are by Benton County Funeral Home in Rogers.

Eric Alan Burns

Eric Alan Burns, 33, of Farmington, died April 2, 2011.

He was born Nov. 8, 1977, in Monett, Mo., to Ralph S. Burns and Theresa Bogle. He enjoyed music and was mechanically minded and enjoyed building things.

Survivors include his wife, Jamie Letney; four sons, Eric, Trevor, Dakota and Seth; two daughters, Brooke and Samantha; two stepsons, Dante and Dar Byrd; two stepdaughters, Keidra and Kadra McGeehee; his mother, Theresa Burns Miller and her husband Roy of Gravette; and two sisters, including HeatherWoodmancy and husband Jason of Gravette.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Noel Cemetery in Noel, Mo. A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Thursday at New Life Christian Center in Centerton. Arrangements are by Epting Funeral Home in Bentonville.

Roy Lee Webb

Roy Lee Webb, 62, of Hiwasse, died April 3, 2011, at his home.

He was born May 1, 1948, in Herrin, Ill., to Thurston Loren and Lillian Milligan Webb. He served in the Army during Vietnam. He was a carpet layer and a minister at the Benton County Jail.

Survivors include his wife Deborah; three daughters, Cynthia Taffner and husband Merl of Arkansas, Karin Henzel and husband Michael of Oklahoma, Krystal Summers and husband Alfredo Trejo ofArkansas; mother Lillian Webb of Bella Vista; brother Richard Earl Webb of Bella Vista; 21 grandchildren; and 14 greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bentonville Church of Christ. Burial will be at the Fayetteville National Cemetery. Arrangements are by Epting Funeral Home in Bentonville.

Barbara Mortensen

Barbara Mortensen, 90, of Gravette, died Monday, April 4, 2011. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.

Laticia Perez

A memorial service for Laticia Perez, 44, stepmother to Dakota Taylor, will be held from 4-7 p.m. Saturday in the Main Street Pavilion, 500 E Main, Gentry. Family and friends are welcome.
