Liberty Hill, Beaty and Sulphur Springs planning reunions for this May and June

— A reunion of Liberty Hill School and Beaty community residents will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 28, at the Liberty Hill School House. This is the group’s first reunion since 1997.

Dwayne Craig has purchased the property and restored the building. “Socome, bring your family, your pictures, memories and lawn chairs and enjoy the evening,” the organizer said.

The dinner of chicken and pork will be served by Berl Dean Harris, Dwayne and crew. A donation can be made at the dinner.

Sulphur Springs

Plans are shaping up for the Sulphur Springs All-School Reunion which will be held Friday and Saturday, June 3 and 4, according to Jimmy Brown and Joe Mills, organizers of the event.

Activities will include a ham and bean supper ($7) from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the school cafeteria, with lots of visiting to follow.

On Saturday, registration at the park will be from 9 to 11 a.m., lunch at noon at Harbor House (RSVP, $12) with music, dancing, entertainment and visiting at the park pavilion at 7 p.m.
