Lions take men's track title

— Teams from 19 schools competed in the men’s division at the senior Lions Invitational Track meet held at Lion field last Monday afternoon and evening. Seventeen teams competed in the women’s division.

Gravette Lions took the men’s title with 92 points. Colcord finished second with 73. Gentry Pioneers, with 38 points, finished in seventh. Decatur, which fielded a small team, finished with 5 points. Individual performances from Gravette, Gentry and Decatur include the following: Men’s Division

100 meter dash: Trey Tyner, Gravette, eighth, 12.13; Stanley Heyword-Brown, Gravette, ninth, 12.13.

110 hurdles: Cody Bullock, Gravette, third, 17.30; Evan Owens, Decatur, sixth, 18.45.

300 hurdles: Cody Bullock, Gravette, fifth, 46.06; Michael Young, Gravette, sixth, 46.52.

4x100 relay: Gravette (Heywood-Brown, Tyner, Hirsch, Bullock), second, 45.99; Gentry (Martin, Millsap, Porter, Parish), 10th, 48.63.

4x400 relay: Gravette (Brody, Campbell, Heyword-Brown, Hirsch), second, 3:40.87.

4x800 relay: Gravette (Nims, Thomas, Hendren,Duarte), fourth, 9:22.55; Gentry (Bryant, Ramsey, Wiebe, Norman), sixth, 9:39.31.

Women’s Divison

The team from Jay, Okla., took the team title with 99.5 points; Gravette finished with 62 and Gentry totaled 38. Decatur girls had five. Individual performances included the following:
