Earth Day events set

Events planned at Eagle Watch Nature Area Saturday and Monday

— Saturday the 16th is the annual Earth Day observance at the Eagle Watch Nature Area.

Activities include planting trees and wildlife food plots, along with presentations from Ray Wiggs of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and Lynn Sciumbato from the Morning Star Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.

Saturday’s activities will begin at 10 a.m. along the Eagle Watch Trail.

On Monday, April 18, the Decatur Elementary gifted and talented students are coming to Eagle Watch to release butterflies they are growing in their classrooms and to plant some wildflowers for the pollinators which frequent the area.
