Norma McKinzey Clark

Norma McKinzey Clark, 75, of Bixby, Okla., died April 6, 2011, at her home.

She was born April 3, 1936, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Oliver Woodin and Bessie Shannon Woodin. She was a 1954 graduate of Gentry High School and longtime resident of Siloam Springs and Alaska. She was the owner/operator of Clark Country Flea Market. She attended Bixby United Methodist Church in Bixby.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Clark.

Survivors include three sons, Bob McKinzey and wife Marilyn of Land O’Lakes, Fla., Wayne McKinzey and wife Carol of Austin, Texas, and Bruce McKinzey of Mesa, Ariz.; one daughter, Belinda Jordan and husband Jeff of Broken Arrow, Okla,; 10 grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; and one sister, Martha Shaffer and husband Jack of Bixby.

Memorial services were April 9 at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Lance Rogers officiating. Burial was private. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Lucy Deason

Lucy Ellen Deason, 74, of Decatur, died April 10, 2011, at her home.

She was born March 28, 1937 in Benton County, to John Conner and Helen Parker Conner. She moved to Decatur more than 10 years ago and had also lived in Colcord, Okla., and Siloam Springs. She was a cook for Moseley School until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Deason, in 1994.

Survivors include three sons, Jack Freeman of Decatur, Ed Deason, Jr., of Gentry, and Shane Deason of Siloam Springs; two daughters, Helen Montgomery of Tulsa, Okla., and Theresa Witcher and husband Tim of Decatur; 10 grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; and three sisters, Jane Billbe of Noel, Mo., JoAnn Blair of Kansas, Okla., and Ida Clifton of Garland, Texas.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs. Burial will follow at Johnson Cemetery, West Siloam Springs, Okla. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

Nadine Harrison

Nadine Harrison, 84, of Colcord, Okla., died April 5, 2011, at her home. She was born Jan. 28, 1927, in McDonald County, Mo., to Benjamin Harrison Sarten and Sarah Josephine Nichols Sarten. She lived most of her life in West Siloam Springs, Okla., and was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, West Siloam Springs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert “Sam” Harrison, and one son, Michael Dale Harrison.

Survivors include three sons, Jimmie Harrison and wife Sharon, Danny Harrison and wife Ella, all of Colcord, and Terry Harrison of Pryor, Okla.; one daughter, Shirley Gaw and husband Ed of Colcord; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Myrtle Van Fleet of Gentry, and Virginia Swatsenberg of Tulsa, Okla.

Funeral services were April 9 at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Darrel Maddox officiating. Burial followed at Bell Cemetery, near Watts, Okla. Arrangements were by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

Barbara Mortensen

Barbara Sweet Mortensen, 90, of Gravette, died April 4, 2011, at Regency Hospital in Fayetteville.

She was born July 29, 1920, in Liberty, Mo., to Hosea Dixon and Edyth Gulick. She moved to Gravette in 1989 from Maine. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Sulphur Springs. She donated quilts to Kiwanis, made lap quilts for the V.A., played the organ for the Christian Science Church until it closed and enjoyed the Senior Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 9, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel.

Leticia Perez

Leticia Perez, 44, of Gentry and San Juan, Texas, died April 2, 2011, at McAllen Medical Center in McAllen, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria T. Ramirez.

Perez is survived by four children, Marcus Perez and Danielle Wahl, bothof Siloam Springs, James Wahl of McKinney, Texas, Dakota Taylor of Gentry; one brother, Joe M. Romero of McAllen; four sisters, Lupita Vecchio of Pharr, Texas, Maria De Jesus Vasquez of San Juan, Sandra Ramirez of Corpus Christi, Texas, Maritza L.R. Garcia of Weslaco, Texas.

Funeral services were April 6 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment followed at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission, Texas. Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.

A memorial service was also held April 9 at the Main Street Pavilion in Gentry for family members and friends.

Donald Robins, Sr.

Donald Clyde Robins, Sr., 74, of Rogers, died Thursday, April 7, 2011, at Circle of Life Hospice Home in Bentonville.

He was born July 28, 1937, in Garfield, to Pearl Byler and Hobert Robins. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, his pets and repairing and doing body work on automobiles. He was a mechanic for many years and a lifetime resident of northwest Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Eulah Cockrel; one daughter, Shelby; and one grandson, Jude Robins.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Upshaw of Rogers; four sons, Donald James Robins and his wife Linda of Ceres, Calif., Donny Robins and his wife Julie of Bentonville, Jimmy Robins of Pea Ridge, Johnny Robins and his wife Denise of Pea Ridge, one daughter, Donna Turner of Pea Ridge; five brothers, Gordon Robins of Goodman, Mo., Thurman Robins of Springdale, Richard Robins and his wife Shirley of Alma, Larry Robins and his wife Lindaof Alma, Rex Robins and his wife Kathy of Alma, three sisters; Daphne Laughlin and her husband Dale of Rogers, Avis Partain of Goodman, Mo., Joann Adams and her husband James of Colcord, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at Reddick Cemetery in Garfield. Arrangements were by Epting Funeral Home in Bentonville.
