Eagle Observer LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Editor,

I am writing this in concern to the April 12 (Highfill) city council meeting.

I am very shocked and appalled by the way (councilwoman) Sandy Evans is allowed to conduct business during a city council meeting. She is there to represent the city of Highfill, which is all the voters and citizens of Highfill.

My direct concern is the fact that she is allowed to address work issues concerning Rob Holland. At what point should she be allowed to shout out about Rob’s job performance in a public meeting? For her to be allowed to do such things isjust wrong ... not to mention she was wrong!

Is this not slander? She looked unprofessional by jumping out of her chair and shouting, pointing her finger. And at what point should she be heldresponsible for her actions and words? I really think she should be held responsible as a public figure, everyone else is. I also think she should issue a public statement of apology to the same group of people, and mainly Rob Holland, for her actions.

I watched every other city council member conduct themselves professionally. I said it at the April 12 meeting and I will say it again, we have a great group of people representing our town. They are very flexible and really seem to listen. I appreciate the time and effort that all of you are putting in to our town. I think all of you are doing a great job overall.

Thanks for your time.

Heather Holland Highfill
