— The Lady Pioneers came up a run short when they took on the Lady Hillbillies at Ozark on April 18.

Gentry got on the board early when Sikora Ruiz singled and scored on a double hit by Rindy Hudson, but the Lady Hillbillies came out swinging to score four runs on five hits before the inning change.

The Lady Pioneers added another three runs in the top of the third when Ruiz drew a walk and again scored on a double to the centerfield fence by Hudson. Hudson also crossed the plate on a single by Cloie Sikes, and Sikes scored on a hit by Jordan Olds.

A base on errors and a nice double hit by Ozark's H. Smith gave The Lady Hillbillies the lead. The Lady Pioneers failed to add any more runs, and a nice double play by Hudson and Suzzana Sikes kept Ozark from increasing their lead.

The final score was Ozark 5, Gentry 4.
