— Larry Keith has spent some

time in Newton County turkey

hunting this week.

Luckily we missed the hail

again Thursday afternoon

but did have a severe thun

derstorm with about 3 1/2

inches of rain. We didn’t miss

the hail Saturday morning,

or the second one Saturday

afternoon.

Can anyone give a mother

cat and five new kittens a

good, safe home? If so please

call me. Also there are three

more adult cats who need a

home.

My family fixed me a birthday lunch on Sunday. Those helping me celebrate were Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier, Mr.

and Mrs. Brian Carrier and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brooks. We had a combination birthday and Easter lunch.

Larry and Regina spent Easter weekend visiting her brother in Iowa.

It was good to see Eddie Parker able to be at church on Sunday with all his family.

Hope they can all attend each Sunday.

Easter lunch guests of Pam Bertschy were Mr. and Mrs.

Rip Austin, Ryan and Jake and Mary O’Hare.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hamilton, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Paul Hamilton and family, Amanda’s parents from Ada, Okla., Marlo Hamilton and three of Beau’s friends from school attended the ball game between the Naturals and Travelers at Arvest Field in Springdale on Friday evening to help Beau celebrate his birthday. The same group enjoyed lunch with Robert and Geneva on Sunday.

April 27, 1947, at Yankee Stadium in New York City, Babe Ruth Day was held to honor the ailing baseball star.
