— Ward Carrier was scheduled for surgery on Tuesday, Aug. 2, to remove a cancerous kidney. Please keep him in your prayers.

Tami Presley was to check into the hospital at Little Rock on Aug. 2 for treatment. Remember her in your prayers.

Gene Willmot spent some time in the V.A. Hospital in Fayetteville last week. Remember Gene and Janie in your prayers.

Sympathy is extended to the Carver family for their loss.

Pud Hendrickson was taken by ambulance to the hospital last Sunday morning. The family needs our prayers.

Any of you who happened to catch the Iron Man Competition from California on Saturday might have seen my granddaughter Alyssa Carrier. I’m not sure whether she was listed from Arlington, Tex., or Denver, Colo. The temperature where it was being held was expected to be 67 degrees on Saturday.

Congratulations and best wishes to both Geneva Hamilton and Paul Galyean, who are retiring from their jobs this week. We hope your retirement will bring pleasure and relaxation to both of you.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Al Dunagin on their 60th wedding anniversary. Al was our local druggist for years and a lot of youremembers Mrs. Dunagin as your teacher.

Mr. and Mrs. Sean Pruitt and family have returned home from a trip to Alabama and the coast.

Josh, an employee of Benton County Propane, and his wife were seriously injured in a car accident Saturday evening. He is a patient at St. John Hospital in Springfield.

Mitch Rogers’ brother, Marty, is being moved to St. Joseph Hospital in Hot Springs to be closer to his family.

Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Alyssa, Zack and Gabe and I had lunch with DaleLynn and Lamarise on Sunday.

Ruby Hight has been on the sick list this week. We hope she is feeling better soon.

Dean Fletcher was released from the hospital on Thursday. Saturday morning Robert and Geneva Hamilton took him to the Rehab Center on Rogers Road to visit his sister-in-laws Billie Fletcher and Maxine Fletcher.

Saturday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hamilton visited with Robert’s sister in Westville, Okla.

Kolton Hamilton was expected to arrive home Sunday evening from a missionary trip.

The First Christian Church members enjoyed a 5th Sunday dinner after church on Sunday.
