Smith honored in yearbook

GENTRY — The United States Achievement Academy announced that Sierra Smith was named an All-American Scholar At-Large Award Winner.

Smith, a student at Gentry High School, will appear in the All-American Scholar Official Yearbook, which is published nationally.

The Academy selects All-American Scholar winners based on a student’s gradepoint average, student achievements and a wellbalanced schedule of academics and extracurricular activities.

Sierra Smith is the daughter of Andrew (A.J.) and Dawn Smith of Gentry. Her grandparents are Edwin and Alma Rogers of Springfield, Ill., and Kevin and Trena Davis of Gentry.
